Board of Directors

Janet K. Cooper was the Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Qwest Communications International Inc., Denver, Colorado, from September 2002 to June 2008. From 2001 to 2002, she served as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of McDATA Corporation. From 2000 to 2001, she served as Senior Vice President, Finance of Qwest. From 1998 to 2000, she served in various senior level finance positions at US West Inc., including as Vice President, Finance and Controller and Vice President and Treasurer. Ms. Cooper is a National Association of Corporate Directors (“NACD”) Board Leadership Fellow.

Gary L. Ellis was the Executive Vice President, Global Operations, Information Technology and Facilities & Real Estate of Medtronic plc, Dublin, Ireland, from June 2016 until his retirement in December 2016. Previously, he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Medtronic, Inc., from April 2014 to June 2016, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Medtronic, Inc. from May 2005 to April 2014, and Vice President, Corporate Controller and Treasurer of Medtronic, Inc. from 1999 to May 2005.





Rick Olson was elected Chairman of the Board in November, 2017, and as president and chief executive officer in November 2016. Previously he was elected president and chief operating officer in September 2015 and to the board of directors of The Toro Company in January 2016. Prior to that he was elected group vice president, international business, micro irrigation business and distributor development in June 2014, and was named vice president, international business in March 2013.
Olson joined Toro in 1986 as a manufacturing process engineer. He has held various positions in operations and engineering at five Toro locations—including manager of advanced manufacturing, commercial engineering program manager, director of Shakopee plant operations, and managing director of northern manufacturing operations. In 2010, he was named general manager of Exmark and was appointed vice president, Exmark in 2012.
Olson earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial technology from Iowa State University and an MBA from the University of Minnesota – Carlson School of Management. Olson currently serves on the board of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute, the board of The Toro Foundation and the Carlson School Board of Overseers.
